As we enter the Second Coil of Bahamut, there will be a number of changes to playstyles, concerns, and impending adjsutments needed for a successful group. There will be a respet we hold with each other while a push and motivation between each other. As of right now there are no such persons that are experts in these Turns within our group in all roles. That being said we are here to play a game with an ambition to be great. We are only as strong as our weakest link.
Progression Rules & Expectations
1. Attendance: Be on time, repaired prior to raid and have seen all guides you can possibly see as well as have seen your point of view of the fight. Do not spend the schedules time of the raid to be part of your prep time, therefore making the group late. All prep is done prior.
The first 10-15 minutes of the schedule will be spent by me passing around my selected HQ foods for all players, DPS POISON potions, Stat Potions, and Recovery Potions. No one is allowed to enter raid late, or leave early. We need the maximum amount of time in these raids to develop the muscle memory we need to be able to progress and be successful each time we enter. If you are running late due to work, or any other reason, please contact me via TEXT at 1-(562)726-3546. IF you can not text me or you do not feel comfortable with your phone number being released, you have two options. You can create a google voice number via google to have an extra phone number for game relate things or email me at ikaikakho@gmail.com.
2. Respect: No player shall call another player out. If you need to call out attention to a particular player that I may not have caught myself, please do so in a respectful manner that is not insulting, carried with a negative tone, nor at an elevated volume. If you are unsure of your mode of communication please learn to whisper me in mumble, and I shall relay the message to the group. Entering raid we come with a positive and OPEN minded outlook on our raid. Some strategies work for the group, some do not, some need work. We will definitely need to put in lots of work.
3. Loot: REFER TO LOOT RULES. When we progress more successfully, and identify certain needs for our groups, ie DPS/heals potency, I may make an executive decision to assign loot to particular players to meet requirements for even more demanding raids.
4. Rest/Alertness: Please be rested, alert, and not in a tired mood coming into raid. If you feel in any way shape or form this way, please do not let you raid group now or bring that effect onto the group. Get some coffee, tea, or carbohydrates to have energy to lat the hours. I am not asking for 10 hour raids at the moment. I am only asking 3 nights a week 3 hours a week. It is not a heavy commitment so for those hours please be alert and ready to go. If you need a warm up raid plan that among yourselves prior to raids ie Titan HM.
5. Mumble: All players are required to have access to mumble for in raid call outs etc. Figure out your needs prior. If your mic does not work or you do not like speaking on it, i can mute you, but it is required you can hear myself and any other players that are assigned to call outs.
6. DPS Roles: Learn to max out your dps. Our prior group was known for high DPS without echo. We will no longer have that entering second coil, and I expect you to be able to produce the necessary amounts of dps for the raid. I will check on off days to optimize your dps as adjusted to each raid and situations that may arise.
Melee: Learn to have a high consistent output. Learn to time cooldowns and weave skills. be ready to have at least 2-4 skills for key burst moments. As gear level increases you will only need 1-2 skills to burst enough amounts. EITHER Dragoons or Monk will be expected to be NUMBER 3 at all times to bait certain triggers ie Honey Glaze.
SMN: Learn when to use correct pets, learn the proper timing of pet swaps. Tip: Fights with major movement, Garuda will do better. Fight s with lil boss movement, IFRIT is better. YES I KNOW EVERY GUIDE SAYS GARUDA. BUT that was before IFRIT was patched. Learn to use them both correctly, learn the swap, and if you do not believe me i will check your numbers for you and show you screen caps of your numbers.
BRD: YOUR DPS NEVER STOP (except for key points ie Blighted Bouquet). Learn your mage patterns and learn to effectively use your songs. Later on Bard responsibility becomes GREATLY needed and expected for dealing with mechanics, be ready.
Mages: Learn to time your movement for dodges while casting. MECHANIC always comes before your cast, and it is even more imperative later on as we NEED your dps, but also know.
7. Heals: In dps checks you are required to use poison potions, to aid your team and also required to toss instant DoTs on mobs during these checks. ie Aero or Bio.
Scholars: BE FULLY MACROED. No a single fairy on auto. Learn to micro your pet, I can easily teach you to seamlessly control your pet where it feels like you are not controlling it. Learn pivotal recovery rotations. You are always responsible to keep tank topped off as a priority. Virus is YOUR responsibility in the absence of summoners. You are SINGLE TARGET SPECIALISTS.
Whitemages: The raid is you responsibility. You will always be first to keep the raid fully alive. You AoE spells are way more potent than your counterpart, making it your responsibility to prepare heals for your raid. Please learn the proper single target rotation as well to support your Scholar on the tank. Manage your MP correctly.
8. Breaks: When morale is dropping and fatigue kicks in you are required to push through those real life debuffs on your performance in game. Breaks will be given in 7 minute spans when needed. 7 minutes should be enough for the bathroom/drink/food/cigarette. There is a mandatory break 45 minutes into a raid to refresh ourselves.
9. Phase Progression: IT WILL REQUIRE COUNTLESS HOURS. Expect it and do not let it discourage you. During progression/learning of phases mistakes will happen. When these mistakes happen, instantly analyze yourself and assume responsibility even if it is not your actual mistake. Think of a way you can improve upon it so pertinent mistake does not repeat. Possibly your team mate needs a more vocal cal out of a specific mechanic, or possibly a visual in game via macro or possibly a sound effect. Should it repeat, SHIT HAPPENS, just FLUSH THE TOILET. When pushing phases, there will be no joking around or playful banter. Once you have mastered the phase as a group then you are free to joke around in that phase. Until it happens you will not engage in possibly distracting playful banter. If you can not control yourself you will be muted. It is not personal, but the playfull ness does affect several players performance in more serious raids be it in game performance or player morale. It affects me and my anger if you are wondering. So until mastered, there are no jokes.
10. Wipes: During wipes analyze what went wrong individually. I will state as a group what can be improved upon right away. Have your ears ready for my criticism as it may apply to you. Do not make me repeat myself. Healers, instantly buff our players up. Bards PLAY YOUR MANA SONG RIGHT AWAY. Decrease the recovery time. Shake off your nerves and we attack the raid again.
11. If you are a no show, your spot will be replaced ASAP. You can reclaim your spot again with an apology to your team and a reason for your absence. Keep in mind that it is HIGHLY possible that we can not find a replacement for that raid. Because of this you just screwed your team a night of raid, hence the apology.
12. DO NOT FORGET IT IS A GAME. Do not let slow progression discourage you. Your group needs each and everyone of you. Each member is important in the raid. IT is highly difficult to put a group together on a schedule with all our lives going on.
13. Rules may be adjusted or added on to as deemed needed.
With all these rules in place I look forward to raiding with you guys. I imagine us being great raiders and the team to look out for on this server. I do not know about you guys but I am excited and can not wait for our first official raid.
